Felt
Felt Pizza
Skill: Counting, Shapes, and Colors
Would you like to do a fun activity with counting? Make pizza! You can use felt; it is easy and fun! After you are done making the pizzas with your students, they can put any toppings on their pizza. This is a great way to incorporate counting into a fun activity by having your students count the toppings they are putting on their pizza. This would be also good for recognizing colors and talking about healthy foods like veggies and fruit.
Felt Project
- Felt
- Scissors
Here's what you do:
- Cut out the pieces to create a
pizza. I didn't use a pattern. I wasn't going for perfection--just
something fun to play with! Here are the pieces you'll need:
- 4 brown crust
slices*
- 4 red sauce
slices*
- 4 white cheese
slices*
- Whatever toppings you'd like.
*(to cut the crust, sauce, and cheese slices, I
just cut out big circles of each color and then cut them into quarters).
